Learning to use Lightroom or Photoshop can be a daunting task, there are so many sliders and selections it could take years before you realize the full potential of either program. One great way to speed up this process is to have some fun with the programs. Throw caution to the wind and adjust sliders this way and that you daredevils.
The photograph above was a direct result of my carefree, reckless abandon in Lightroom 4. It was an attempt to make an old truck look as if it was half in the old, black and white, days while the other half was in the present. The magic was done using the neutral density filter and messing about with the different sliders until the black and white portion of the photo had enough contrast and clarity.
Go ahead and give it a try, you can submit your beautiful results to our Photo Journal Challenge using the Submit an Article link above (located under the articles tab in the main menu). Good luck and have fun.
