Photo Challenge – Trees

What’s the most interesting tree you have ever seen?  The tree that gave its life for it’s best friend in the book The Giving Tree?  Me too, but for this challenge we are going to focus on trees that are alive or were living.  That is the photo challenge, find and photograph the most interesting tree you can find.  According to the World Resource Institute there are over 100,000 species of trees in the world so you shouldn’t have much trouble finding one that’s interesting.

If you live in an area where all the trees seem the same you may want to check out the nearest conservatory where you’ll likely find several interesting species.  Don’t just document the tree, try to get an interesting photograph of the tree.  Think about what it is about the tree that makes it interesting and emphasize that with your photograph.

Big_bristlecone_pine_Pinus_longaevaFun Fact:  This is the Bristlecone Pine (Pinus longaeva) which is thought to be the oldest living tree in the world at 5,063 years old.

If you capture a stunning tree photograph and would like to share with the rest of us here on PhotolisticLife you can do so in a couple of different ways, you could submit your image with some details using the Submit an Article page or you can post it to PhotolisticLife’s Facebook page.
