Becky, another regular contributor, sends us these great photos for the This is American Challenge. The top photo is another she took from the top of her car (out the sunroof). Not a bad idea, I’m sure the car makes a great substitute for a tripod, you can just rest your elbows on the roof. Cool use of the clouds in the sky and the tall trees to the right definitely add to the composition.
The bottom photograph reminds me of something you’d see when you walk into one of those old farm houses out in the country. Very nice use of lighting, I love the shadow. Thanks for sharing, keep them coming.

Really like the shadow of the bird. Please tell me that the bird was not real and if not, what did you do to get such a close shot with that shadow?
Hopefully Becky will see this and let you know but I’m pretty sure that was a wooden bird 🙂
