Photo Journal

The Photo Journal is where we will feature one of your (the readers’) photos each day. Whoever has the most interesting or different photo each day will be featured on the site and praised like the amazing photogenius you are.

Day Ninety Two

After yesterday’s post featuring Paul’s photo from Kiawah I received a submission from a resident of Kiawah.  Ashley sent us this photo from her back yard of a beautiful pelican testing the temperature of the water.  The photo was taken while her and her dog relaxed in the sunshine on her dock.  Yes, her dock!  How lucky.  I think I speak for everyone when I ask you to please send us more photos of the amazing wildlife you must see scurrying about your backyard.  I imagine she must have been using a relatively fast shutter speed to be able to freeze the bird like that and not have any blur.  Most impressive to me though is the small aperture she was able to use meaning she had to capture the picture at just the right time because her depth of field was not very large.  So cool, thank you and keep them coming.

So who is next? Include your name, where you shot the picture, what the picture is of, and why you took it.
