Classic Tractor Photograph – Ferguson TO20

1112_untitled_015

I had a chance to take out the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D and put it through the paces today ( I reviewed it here. ). While hiking back in time around the area I came across a neat find.

The Ferguson TE20 was manufactured in Detroit, Michigan (the company was located in England) and according to Wikipedia it’s a favorite among collectors.  I found this gem tucked away in a barn near the house I grew up in, right next to it was a television (broken and gutted) from the early 1950’s.  I’m not a collector nor do I claim to know anything about tractors more than what I just read on Wikipedia, but I do know they make damn fine subjects for photography.  I’ve always been fond of an old broken down tractor with a touch of rust and a part missing here or there.  They have so much character and remind me of what people are capable of when they are willing to get to work.

Hope you enjoyed, and if I was wrong about the model (it was either the TE20 or the TE30) let me know in the comments.
