Photo Journal

The Photo Journal is where we will feature one of your (the readers’) photos each day. Whoever has the most interesting or different photo each day will be featured on the site and praised like the amazing photogenius you are.

Day Seventy Five

North of Pittsburgh about an hour or so is a place called Volant, P.A. where horses roam and the Amish do Amish stuff.  The picture above was taken from the side of the road, it was a stunning scene with the horses standing below a tree struck with almost every color of Autumn.  The beautiful leaves on the ground look like someone spilled a giant box of Fruity Pebbles (it’s a cereal, Google it).  If you’d like to share an interesting photo via the Photo Journal just hit the link below and I’ll be sure to check it out.  Thanks!

I just can’t get over how these horses look like they are in a painting. This is a great photo. AND the DOF is fabulous. Did you do anything post to this photo or is it straight out of the camera?

Thanks, that’s pretty much how they turned out. I decreased the highlights a little and probably should have adjusted the white balance but I thought it looked good the way it is.
