Day Seventy Three

Here is a shot I got on my way to Grove City, P.A. on the side of a major highway.  The small rainbow caught my eye as I was cruising along at 70 mph.  If I would have used some post processing I could have taken one shot metered on the tree so you could see the bright fall leaves and merged it with a shot of the sky correctly metered for a perfect photograph.  However, I worked with what I had and decided the silhouette of the tree looked cool and went with it.  That’s all part of my coming to grips with the fact that the camera will never capture exactly what you see through your eyes so use what you have to work with.  Or maybe I am just to lazy to do any post processing… you’ll never know.  Just kidding, the photo was shot RAW so I had to do slight processing.  The original photo was actually of two cats batting a ball of yarn around, but after slight tweaking in Lightroom this is what I got (obviously a joke).
